First Grade

We have high expectations for our students at Galer Elementary. First grade students at Galer Elementary enjoy learning through many thematic units and cross-curricular activities. We are learning about many kinds of animals, plants, seasons, holidays, pumpkins, apples and much more. As part of our school improvement plan, we are focusing on Math. We have been reading some great math literature, playing math games and using math journals in our classrooms. We are also learning Spanish through hands-on activities that include song, movement, dance, puppetry and technology.
