Butterflies.... ButterfliesMrs. M’s class is studying butterflies. They have learned about life cycles and the stages of development that butterflies go through before becoming adults. As the students learn, they are witnessing these life cycle phases first hand. They are watching real Painted Lady Butterflies develop from the larva stage to the pupa stage, where they form a chrysalis. Then, after 7 to 10 days, the butterflies will emerge as adults. Each student will get to hold a butterfly as it emerges from its chrysalis. After watching them eat and fly for several days, each student will get to release one of the butterflies into the wild.Hands on Science makes learning fun and more memorable for the students. Happy Spring!
