Physical EducationPhysical Education class at Galer Elementary School is designed for the children to learn and master basic movement skills. Class is also set up to provide ample opportunity to build a foundation for a life long enjoyment of movement.
The skills, which are presented to the children through a variety of activities and games, are aligned with the DoDEA Physical Education Standards. The skills the children work on throughout the year include locomotor skills (run, hop, jump, leap, gallop, skip and slide), non-locomotor skills (bend, stretch, twist, turn, pull and push), ball manipulation skills (throw, catch, bounce, dribble, roll, strike, kick, trap and punt), tumbling and balance activities, aerobic activities and dance/creative movement.
