We learned about Ben Franklin in class. He did lots of things. He is famous because he was a statesman, an inventor, and a writer. We wrote about some of his popular sayings. Here's what we think they mean:

"Genius without education is like silver in the mine." "He that is good for making excuses is seldom good for anything else."

"If your head is was don't walk in the sun."

"You may delay, but time will not."

"Well done is better than well said." "Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise."
"Three may keep a secret if two of them are dead." "Never leave that till tomorrow which you can do today."
"Beware the young doctor and the old barber." "Fish and visitors smell in three days."
"Energy and persistence conquer all things." "A slip of the foot you may soon recover, but a slip of the tongue you may never get over."
