Student drawing of Harry Potter
I love to read HarryPotter books!
By a boy in third grade

We love to read in Mrs. C's class! We even have Reading Buddies from first grade to read with.

It's fun being a student helper.

In math we learn about place value, math facts, word problems and geometry concepts

We learn lots of math facts in third grade.

We live close to Jamestown so we get to go and see how the colonists lived with the Powhatan Indians.  We get to try on their clothes.  We get to go on a ship!  We get to see the Jamestown fort.  We get to see an Indian village. Learning about the Native Americans is really a favorite of ours.

It's neat to imagine what it was like back then!

We learn about the water cycle, weather, and climate. We learn about the layers of the earth and about how we can protect our environment!

We like learning about Earth, this wonderful planet of ours!

We start touch keyboarding in third grade. During the year we practice our good fingering techniques to reinforce the correct method.

REMEMBER: Use proper keyboarding skills or you will only cheat yourself!
