Let's Learn About Optical Illusions
This web page will take you to different
sites to help you to learn about three different types of optical illusions.
Here we go!
It's really easy to fool the eye.
Sometimes the message that your eye sends to your brain will be perceived,
or seen, incorrectly. These incorrect messages are commonly called
Optical Illusions. There are several types of optical illusions.
We will learn about them now.
-
AMBIGUOUS ILLUSIONS. Sometimes we look
at a picture and see one thing, but when we look again, the same picture
appears to be doing something else! This type of illusion is called
an Ambiguous Illusion.
-
DISTORTION ILLUSIONS. Another type
of optical illusion is called a Distortion. A distortion causes a
familiar object to bend or change shape before our eyes! See if you
can find the tricks.
-
IMPOSSIBLE OBJECTS. Sometimes your
brain wants to see something that JUST DOES NOT EXIST! This type
of illusion is called an Impossible Object.
Let's look at some examples
now.
