About Our Program
Students enrolled in our special education program receive a variety of services. We serve those students whose IEP's include academic, emotional, social and/or behavioral goals. Our students receive services in the general education classroom (co-teach) and in the resource room (pull-out). The special education programs at Dahlgren School serve students in preschool through eighth grade.
In order for a student in our system to qualify for special education services, he/she must have gone through the following process:
-
Step 1: Pre-referral
-
Step 2: Intervention
-
Step 3: Referral
-
Step 4: Evaluation
-
Step 5: Eligibility
-
Step 6: Individualized Education Program (IEP)
-
Step 7: Placement
-
Step 8: Annual Review
* If you suspect that your child has a disability, please contact our school.
