Painting of tiger logo in front hallSince its establishment in 1921, Dahlgren School has been recognized throughout the Navy for providing an outstanding education to students in pre-K through eighth grade. In addition to an extensive academic program, we offer classes in music, art, foreign language, physical education, health, guidance, and schoolwide enrichment. Support services are available in special education, gifted and talented, and counseling. All computers are networked with full Internet access provided to all students. The individual needs of students are well served by our small pupil/teacher ratios, by our diverse support staff, and through a wide range of services and facilities, including a state-of-the-art media center, computer labs, a new gymnasium complete with climbing wall, and art enrichment via our extensive fine arts program.

Student working in gardenActivities include yearbook, garden club, newspaper club, basketball, track, NJHS, chorus, drama, music programs, art enrichment, computer enrichment, the media center helper program, and Reading Counts.

The Dahlgren School faculty is comprised of a dedicated group of caring professionals who set high standards for themselves and their students. Working with a supportive administration and many very involved parents, these individuals, through their team effort, are able to create a dynamic "Tiger" environment.
