Bus Rules

  1. Stand back from the curb and wait for the bus to come to a complete stop, before moving toward the bus to board.
  2. Remain in your seat once you have been seated.
  3. Do not save seats for other students.
  4. Hold books on your the lap or place them on the floor under your seat.
  5. Do not throw things inside the bus or out the window.
  6. Do not disrupt other passengers. 
  7. Keep your hands, legs, and feet to yourself.
  8. Keep all body parts inside the bus at all times.
  9. Do not act in any manner that may distract the driver’s attention.
  10. Refrain from rude or provocative remarks, acts, or gestures inside or outside the bus.

Departing the bus:

  1. Remain seated until the bus stops
  2. walk to the door
  3. get off the bus one at a time
  4. move away from the bus.

Do not cross in front of the bus at any time. 

Prohibited Items

The following are prohibited on the school bus:

  • Smoking
  • eating
  • drinking
  • chewing gum
  • games (all forms)
  • Profane or obscene language

Cell Phones

  • Cell phones are to be limited to emergency situations only.
  • Students must adhere to the direction of the security attendant/bus driver when asked to end their calls.

Students who violate school bus rules will be written up by the bus driver on the Discipline Report Form, which is given to the transportation supervisor. The Transportation Supervisor will forward the Discipline Report to the appropriate school principal for disciplinary actions. The action taken by the school authority will be entered on the report and forwarded to the student, parent, and Transportation Supervisor.
