"National Junior Honor Society News"---

Dear Families, Our staff is currently involved in selecting new members for the National Junior Honor Society. After identifying all 7th and 8th graders with a GPA of 3.3 or higher, we distribute applications to qualifying students. After teachers complete ratings scales for students they know, our faculty council will meet to select our new NJHS candidates. Just wanted to keep you in the loop on this process!

Hi students,
If you are in a sport or a club, it is always OK to wear your team or club shirt on game days, race days, meeting days, or other activity days as suggested by your teachers. Please wear your normal pants, shirt, or skirt to school, but feel free to wear your sport or club shirt instead of your regular AMS shirt. This is a great way to show your team spirit! If your sports shirt is a tank top, please wear a t-shirt with sleeves underneath it.
Kind regards,
Dr. McClain

Sports Overview

Dear AMS families,

Our garrison commander, COL Heard, is as deeply committed to the safety of our students as we are. To that end, the garrison has created the attached traffic plan for Chrisman Road which ensures that buses and POVs are kept separate during morning drop-off and pick-up times. This change in traffic flow actually impacts AMS significantly less than the other schools. If you drop off your student in the morning, please drop them off on the main road at the sidewalk. Parents can no longer enter the school driveway between
6:45 and 7:15 a.m. or between 1:45 and 2:30 p.m. This area will be a bus-only zone during those time frames.

Thank you for your consideration!

Traffic Plan

Kind regards,
Andrea McClain, EdD
Principal, Antilles Middle School
