Ft. Benning’s traveling Coquí project has reached altogether over 40 countries and states, and I have received emails, pictures, or letters back from people all over.  We are definitely teaching the world Spanish one sentence at a time.  I am still printing out pictures and sorting out letters so I can complete the tracking maps in both schools!

Now Coquí is getting ready to embark in new trips for the holidays- I am planning a New Years, Valentines, and St Patrick Coquí versions for 2008. Please continue sending me addresses so that my students can plan which sentences to send out, and so that they can make more frogs.

DIRECTIONS ARE SIMPLE:

1.      Fill out the attached form, or send me addresses from people outside of Georgia.

2.    Tell them to expect a Coquí frog in the mail which will have a Spanish sentence written on its back.

3.    All they need to do once they get it (with the official letter that explains it all) is to re-write the sentence, take a picture with Coquí, and send the sentence and the picture back to the address on the letter.

Coquí will return to Puerto Rico on the last week of school in May, so my mom can “place him back in the rainforest”.

I especially encourage our PIE partners to participate.
