Welcome to Loyd Elementary School Media Center!

Preparing students to live, work and contribute in our global
world today requires them to read, interpret, search for, a
nd discern information from various sources. 
The Information/Media Center is the place where that should happen!

Our Media Center at Loyd Elementary provides a place for
students to check out books and read independently. 
The computers enable children to carry out research, take
Reading Counts tests and the Scholastic Reading Inventory
and also use numerous other technology creativity
software programs to enhance learning activities in the classroom.

 The Media Center is open for all facuty and staff, students, and parents.  The Media Center is open daily from 8:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Our Media Center has a three-fold mission:

 to develop life-long readers

 to develop information-literate students

 to assist teachers in teaching
