Reading

Grammar

Students are learning to identify describing words (adjectives - tell color, size, shape, and how many) and the correct use of the period.

Spelling

Students are spelling words with the final e.  We are also reviewing past spelling lists during the week.

Rule:  If a word has a vowel followed by a consonant and final e, then the vowel is long and says its name.

Math

We are working on patterns.

Science

Students continue to learn about life cycles.

Social Studies

We are focusing on different family traditions and history.

Our Creativity Is Showing. Our children were given 2 lines and asked to draw a picture from it. Then they wrote a sentence about it using the day's sight word. Here are some of the results.

Class Rules

1. Respect yourself and others.
2. Follow directions and procedures.
3. Turn in neat work on time.
4. Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself.
5. Listen when someone speaks.
