Registration Information

ELIGIBILITY for Fort Benning Schools requires residency on the installation or a 180-day waiver for housing. See DDESS Eligibility.

180-day Waiver for Housing: If housing is not available immediately upon your arrival to Fort Benning, but will be available within 180 school days, the housing office will provide you written documentation for registration purposes. Please bring this billeting slip along with the other required documentation for registration.

Registration for the 2006-2007 School Year will take place from June 5 - June 9, 2006. Parents may register their children from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each day. Registration will continue all summer

• All registrations will take place at the assigned neighborhood school. It will be necessary for parents to register at each school if they have children in more than one of the Fort Benning schools.

• Parents must provide a legal birth certificate, *verification of housing, Military ID, and the child's Social Security Card. Georgia Certificates of Immunization are required. These certificates are available through Martin Army Hospital . Immunization information will be available at registration.
  
  
• Sixth Grade Students must show proof of varicella (chicken pox) vaccine or proof of immunity.
  
  
• Pre-Kindergarten children who reside on the installation and will be four years old on or before September 1 of the current year may enroll in our pre-kindergarten program.
  
  
• Kindergarten children who reside on the installation and will be five years old on or before September 1 of the current year may enroll in our kindergarten program.
  
  
• Special Education Pre-School Children (ages 3-4) who are in need of special education services and who reside on the installation should call the special education office at 545-5520.

• Verification for the 2006-2007 School Year: It will be necessary for parents to verify registration data for all students (Pre-School - 7th Grade) who attended a Fort Benning school during the past school year and who plan to return for the 2006-2007 School Year. *Verification of current post housing and a military ID card must be provided. Verification dates will be published by each school .

• Students promoted from fifth grade to Faith Middle School 's sixth grade will need to verify registration at Faith Middle School , 1375 Ingersoll Street .
  

* Accepted as verification of housing : a leasing agreement from Clark-Pinnacle signed within the last 30 days or a recent bill addressed to the sponsor and dated within the last 30 days.
