Student Dress Code 
In accordance with Fort Benning Installation Dress Code, students should present a well-groomed and acceptable appearance at school. Students are expected to dress appropriately.
Dress Code for 4th and 5th Grade Students:
1. Halter, tank, elastic, mesh, tube, or cut off tops are prohibited.
2. Clothing which contains, depicts or displays obscene, pornographic, racial, lewd pictures, words or symbols is prohibited.
3. Mini-skirts, shorts or mini-culottes and dresses should exceed the length of student’s fingertips with arms hanging by the side. No clothes should be too tight.
4. Hats, visors, combs, or picks are prohibited from being worn inside the building.
5. The wearing and carrying of bandannas is prohibited.
6. Sweatbands (armbands) are not allowed.
7. Hats of any style need to be worn (outside only) with the bill turned forward at all times. Hats are not to be worn in the building.
8. Pant legs will not be rolled up beyond the ankle.
9. Tattoos, even the stick on type, are prohibited.
10. Flip flops, high heels, platform shoes, and skate shoes are prohibited for safety purposes. (Unsafe shoes are responsible for many accidents, especially at P.E. and on the playground.)
*Pants will be pulled to the waist, and properly fastened.
*Shoes must be worn at all times for protection of the feet. For your child’s health and safety, children will wear appropriate clothing to PE class to include rubber soled shoes (the only type of shoes allowed for PE.)
*Straps on overalls must be buttoned and on shoulders.
Students in grades PK – 3rd
1. Hats will not be worn inside the building.
2. Bandannas and sweatbands (armbands) are not allowed.
3. Clothing which contains, depicts or displays obscene, pornographic, racial, lewd pictures, words or symbols is prohibited.
4. No flip flops, high heels, platform shoes, or skate shoes. Children need shoes that provide protection and do not pose a safety risk, especially on the playground and at PE. ONLY rubber-soled shoes are allowed on the gym floors for PE.
Final discretion on clothing will be left to the administration. If necessary, a decision to send a child home to change clothes or call a parent/sponsor to bring suitable clothing may occur. Repeated dress code violations may result in disciplinary action.
