"Students Today ...Leaders Tomorrow" |
Art is a great way to open creativity in the minds of children and open a pathway to learning. In art, students will learn about a variety of artists, the artists' style and the artists' background. They will also study the art elements and principles and apply to their works of art. They will study art history and learn facts about the artists' works and the time periods in which the art was created. Students will create art using many types of media as well.
Students will view a wide variety of high quality fine art reproductions representing a variety of artists to help them better understand the artists and their styles of art and they will apply those styles of art to their own works of art.
Students will be able to relate their images to each other, to music, to drama and other areas as well as their own experiences. In art, students will use creative thinking and imaginative expression to create their own works of art.
