Reading:  

Make sure to read a Zone Book each night.

Math: 

 I will award an additional 5 points for math homework assignments if the homework is turned in on time and has the parent’s signature next to the child’s name.  This will provide you the opportunity to look over your child’s work before the assignment is turned in for a grade.  Please make sure that your child show their work (not just the answers) for all math problems. 

Language:

  In addition to the spelling and reading vocabulary words, please have your child read for at least 15 to 20 minutes night.

Science & Social Studies: 

This year, I plan to integrate more technology into Social Studies and Science lessons.  We will work on creating photo stories, podcasting, and use Windows Movie Maker for selected Science and Social Studies lessons throughout the year.

Box Tops/Pop Tabs:  Please continue to send in your Box Tops for Education as well as your Pop Tabs.
