Housing
Requirements:
If you have a 90-Day

you must register your child/children at the Office of the Superintendent
located on the north end of Irwin Middle School (Knox Street). On the
other hand, if you already have an address on either Fort Bragg or Pope
AFB, you should proceed directly to the school where your child/children
are to attend.
Age
Requirements:
It is the Domestic
Dependent Elementary and Secondary Schools (DDESS) policy that the districts
follow state law in determining the entrance age (and the cutoff date
for reaching that age) in enrolling children in pre-school, kindergarten
or first grade programs within DDESS schools. Therefore, the Fort Bragg
Schools establishes the enrollment ages for our students as follows:
- Preschoolers
- Students must be four (4) on or before October 16 of the current year.
- Kindergarteners
- Students must be five (5) on or before October 16 of the current year.
- First Graders
- Students must be six (6) on or before October 16 of the current year.
