GENERAL TRANSPORTATION
The Fort Bragg Schools shall provide bus transportation
to students enrolled in Pre-K through grade 6 who reside more than one
mile from the school property line and to all students required to walk
to school on routes officially designated as hazardous.
HAZARDOUS ROUTES

Pre-K through 4th grade students
walking from Bastogne Gables Housing to Bowley School are considered
too young and immature to successfully cope with the degree of traffic
and shall be transported. |

2.
|
All students residing in Bataan
Housing area are eligible for transportation because of hazardous
walking routes to school. |
|
3.
|
Pre-K through 4th grade students
living in Normandy Housing area. |
|
4.
|
Pre-K through 4th grade students
living on Maynard and Ethridge Streets on Pope Air Force Base. |
AREAS/GRADES FOR BUS TRANSPORTATION
Pre-K through 4th grade students residing in
the following areas shall be eligible for bus transportation:
BOWLEY SCHOOL:

DEVERS SCHOOL:

assigned from Nimegan.

4th grade students assigned from Biazza Ridge South area. |
MCNAIR SCHOOL:

students assigned from Biazza Ridge North area. |
POPE SCHOOL:

All pre-K through 4th grade
students living on Maynard and Ethridge Streets. |
GRADES 7-9:
Students in Grades 7-9 who reside more than
one and one-half miles from the school property line and to all students
required to walk to school on routes officially designated as hazardous,
shall be eligible for transportation.
TRANSPORTATION IS PROVIDED
TO STUDENTS RESIDING IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS
IRWIN INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL (GRADES 5-6):

SPECIAL TRANSPORTATION
ARRANGEMENTS
School children may be allowed to board and
depart the school bus, on a regular basis at any point designated as a
bus stop on the regular route, provided the parents submit a written request
to the Principal at least five (5) days prior to the commencement of the
bus service. The request shall be in accordance with the following conditions:

Pick-up and discharge points
should be the same each day. |
| 2. |
Discharge point location need
not be the same as the pickup location. |
