Class Bulletin for Nov. 16-20

  • Next week our class will be talking about living things and their adaptations, Thanksgiving, skip counting, patterns, and solving open number sentences.
  • I did not send home a report card cover. I will send them again with one. Please sign and return the cover.
  • Our food drive is going on from now until Dec. 16th.
  • We will study holidays around the world during the month of December.  In years past I have done home visits for the holidays. I usually do this the day school gets out for the holidays or the day after. Please let me know if you are interested.
  • This will be the last paper copy of the class bulletin. McNair is trying to reduce or reuse paper in order to cut down on cost and paper consumption. I will be posting the weekly bulletin on our Cool Cats webpage and sending it to your e-mail.
  • I thought our meetings went well. If you have a question please don’t feel you have to wait. You can call me or jot a note on the homework sheet.
  • Next week we have picture retakes on Thursday the 19 th. If you do not like your child’s pictures or you would like to order from the proofs, let me know ASAP.
  • PROJECTS- Please help your child work on the picture or model of their animal and the life cycle poster. Poster board will go home on Monday. This project is due on Friday, Nov. 20th.
  • For the NC standards for first grade please check www.dpi.state.nc.us
