October will be a buzzzy month for the bees.
 
 
 

OCTOBER
 

Week of the 5th: Seasons

Activities include: The four seasons of a tree – Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall and the letter “T” for tree.
 
 

Week of the 12th: Fall

Activities include:  Fancy Foliage, Where’s My Leaf booklet (positional words) and the letter “F” for fall leaves.
 
 

Week of the 19th: Fall

Activities include: Leaf pattern on strips, a Scarecrow and the letter “L” for leaf creature.
 
 

Week of the 26th: Pumpkins

Activities Include: What’s Inside A Pumpkin booklet, pumpkin tambourines and the letter “P” for pumpkin.
 
 

There will be no school on the following days for the month of October:

October 12th – Columbus Day
 
 
 

NOVEMBER
 
 

Week of the 2nd: Farm

Activities Include: Pigs in Mud, Lamb Mask and the letter “H” for horse.
 
 

Week of the 9th:  Computers

Activities include:  Daily News and Computer Lab
 
 

Week of the 16th: Harvest/Thanksgiving

Activities include: Turkey Headbands, Indian Corn and the letter “C” for cornucopia.
 
 

Week of the 23th: Harvest/Thanksgiving

Activities include: Hanging Turkeys, Indian Vests and the letter “I” for Indian.
 

Week of the 30th: Arctic

Activities Include: Polar Bear book, Penguin Mask and the letter “W” for walrus.
 
 

There will be no school on the following days for the month of November:

November 10th – Pre-k parent/teacher conferences

November 11th – Veterans Day

November 12th and 13th – Pre-k parent/teacher conferences
 
 
 

DECEMBER

Week 7th: Winter

Activities include: Walrus, Snowman and the letter “M” for mittens.
 
 

Week of the 14th: Winter

Activities include:  Christmas wreaths, reindeer antlers, reindeer food and minty candy canes.
 
 

There will be no school on the following days for the month of December:

December 21st - January 1st - Winter Break

Students return to school on Monday, January 4th
 
 
 

Daily Schedule:

8:25/12:00 - Arrival:  Put away backpacks, collect folders, take attendance, go to the bathroom, puzzle and books

8:30/12:10 - Circle Time:  Reading Time, Learning Wall (alphabets, numbers, colors, shapes, days of the week, month of the year, calendar, weather), Daily News

9:00/12:40 - Daily Activities:  Listed above

10:30/1:10 - Center Time:  Art, Dramatic Play, Blocks, Painting, Computers, Sand/Water, Manipulatives, Small Group Projects

10:00/1:40 - Outdoor Play:  Movement, Free Choice

10:30/2:10 – Juice/Snack Break

10:50/2:20 - Prepare To Go Home:  Pass out folders and pack backpacks
