student reading in the media center The McNair Library / Media Center is completely automated.  Patrons have access to the library's OPAC (the catalog of books and materials) through a pod of twelve computers or in their classrooms. Our library program features an open checkout period each morning, as well as a weekly book exchange and an instructional period for library and research skills.

Instructional lessons include literature skills, Dewey Decimal skills OPAC skills, or a research lesson.  Rumor has it that even games or jumping rope happen from time to time in the Media Center.

Care of Library Books
Students are expected

to keep their library books

in their bookbags at all times

In this way students learn
