The McNair Library / Media Center
is completely automated. Patrons have access to the library's OPAC
(the catalog of books and materials) through a pod of twelve computers
or in their classrooms. Our library program features an open checkout period
each morning, as well as a weekly book exchange and an instructional period
for library and research skills.
Instructional lessons include literature skills, Dewey Decimal skills OPAC skills, or a research lesson. Rumor has it that even games or jumping rope happen from time to time in the Media Center. |

Care of Library Books
Students are expected
to keep their library books in their bookbags at all times In this way students learn organizational skills and responsibility. |

*Students are rewarded at the end of each quarter
with
a free book if they have no overdue books on library days.
