McNair Families,
It is hard to believe that we have been in school for 9 weeks!  Students are working hard and making great efforts to maintain positive attitudes and make good decisions. By now, you should have received an invitation to a parent/teacher conference with your child's teacher on November 14th. Parent/Teacher Conferences are a great opportunity for you and your child's teacher to collaborate on your child's academic and social development and to address any questions you may have.

DoDEA is conducting a Customer Satisfaction Survey and I encourage you to participate.  Your opinions and perceptions of McNair ES will provide valuable information for our overall growth and plans for improvement.  The survey requires 1-20 minutes of your time can be accessed at http://www.dodea.edu/home/index.cfm.  You can also sign in at McNair and use the computers in the Information Center or in the Shamrock or Ladybug Labs to complete the survey. Our Educational Technologist and Information Specialist will be available to assist you.

The next "PEP Talk with Dr. Carr" will be held on Monday, November 24, 2008 in the McNair Cafeteria at 1:30. We will discuss our goals for improvement and any topic that you feel is important.  You can pick up a copy of the 2008-2009 School Improvement Plan in the front office.  I hope to see you there!

Finally, I hope that your family has a safe and enjoyable Thanksgiving Holiday.  During this time of national unity, we must focus all of our energies toward those things that bring us joy and peace. On behalf of the McNair Staff, Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
