McNair
Crafters
The objective of the club
is to explore a variety of crafts and further develop students' artistic
skills and creative abilities through the art of crafting. Sessions
taught focus on a variety of projects: to include but not limited to, crafts
as a fine art using wood, paper, plastics, natural materials, paints and
recyclable materials. The club provides a supportive, fun environment
for students to develop creativity, stretch their imagination and learn
crafting concepts and techniques.
The mission of the McNair School Crafters is to offer an after school program to students who have a creative interest in crafts by providing additional time, media and techniques beyond those offered in their regular classes.
The McNair Crafters Club is open to students in the 2nd-4th grade and will meet on Wednesdays beginning October 3rd from 2:30-3:30. There is a limit of 15 students. Students will be dismissed at 3:30 pm in front of McNair School and must be picked up by a parent unless other arrangements hav been made (i.e. walk, ride a bike or day care provider pick up.)

Selection is based on the following qualifications: responsibility, conscientiousness, self-direction, punctuality, leadership abilities, and the ability to get along with others.
Students selected for Safety Patrol serve on a rotation schedule. Each team serves for two weeks before rotating.
