School Curriculum and Instruction

Teachers inform parents of student progress through phone calls, notes home, conferences, progress reports and report cards. Parents may inquire at any time about the progress of their child.

The Kindergarten to Grade 3 report card summarizes a child’s progress quarterly using this scale:

  • E = Exceeds expectations
  • M = Meets expectations
  • S = Steady progress
  • L = Limited progress

The Grade 4 report card uses this scale:

  • A = Excellent (90 – 100)
  • B = Very good (80 – 89)
  • C = Satisfactory (70 – 79)
  • D = Needs improvement (60 – 69)
  • U = Unsatisfactory (Below 60)
