Customer Satisfaction Survey. HELP! If you have not already done so, please take the time and participate in this survey. To make things much easier, Mr. Jestes, our educational technologist, has put a link on our website www.am.dodea.edu/bragg/butner , just go to the bottom of the page and click on Customer Survey. Your feedback is valuable to us as we move towards higher achievement for our school. So far, we have had only 4 sponsors sign on to take this survey. We really need 250 parents to provide feedback so that we are able to make changes, if needed. Thanksgiving Break. Remember there is no school on Wednesday, 26 – Friday, 28. We wish you a very safe and happy holiday. Linden Oakes . If you have moved from a Butner neighborhood out to Linden Oakes, please be sure the office has your new address and lease agreement. This will ensure that your child will be transferred with all of the Gordon Elementary students when that school opens. Important Gordon Elementary Information. Students who live in Linden Oaks will not attend school on Thursday, Dec. 18 or Friday, Dec. 19, their last day of school before the winter break is Wednesday, Dec. 17. THIS ONLY APPLYS TO LINDEN OAK STUDENTS! There will be NO bus transportation provided from Linden Oaks those two days. If your student lives in Linden Oaks but is assigned to a non-Gordon Elementary teacher they may still attend school but you will have to provide transportation. Prepayment for Meals for December. Please prepay for meals for your child. You can pay by check made to FBSCF or through use of an online payment system call Lunchprepay.com. Use of either of these systems speeds up the line. Breakfast Lunch PTA Pizza Night. Remember that the next PTA Pizza Night will be held on Friday, December 5. Please be sure to let the cashier know that you are from Butner School! Holiday Program. Due to conflicts with another school, our Holiday Concert will now be held on Thursday, December 18 at 6:00pm instead of Thursday, December 11. Sorry for any inconvenience. Winter Break. Remember that our winter break starts on Monday, December 22 – January 2. Students return to school on Monday, January 5, 2009.
Gradespeed. If you have any questions please call Mr. Chris Jestes, our educational technologist, at 907-0420 and he will assist you in anyway he can. You may also come in and use the computer in the media center or computer lab to access Gradespeed. Military Family Appreciation Week. Navy Adm. Mike Mullen, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff issued this comment, “This month, as we celebrate our blessings, and give thanks for our freedom to enjoy them, we take great pride in honoring November 21-28 as Military Family Appreciation Week.” Workshop for Children Whose Parents are Separated/Divorced. Butner Elementary would like to offer a group for children whose parents have separated/divorced and who would benefit from being with other in the same situation to talk about experiences and ask questions. Dr. Catherine Murray, School Psychologist, would run the group. The group would meet weekly for 7 – 10 weeks during school. If you are interested in your child being considered for participation in this group, please fill out the form below and return to your child’s teacher.
