On Line Training for Employees

Teachers and staff,

Welcome to Devers Elementary. The below training sessions are required per DoD. It is important that you complete them as soon as possible. Once you complete them, print out any certificate generated and bring them to the front office. If you are brand new to DODEA, print and fill out the attached 6600.1 form and bring to me. You will be provided a user id and password. Once you have account access, you can then complete all the trainings. These are completed every year with exception to the No Fear Act, which is completed every 2 years. All training needs to be completed within the first week of employement for new employees. It is advised that you maintain a copy of all certificates for your own records.

# 1 Information Assurance Awareness Training

This is the first training you must complete in order to obtain an account. You then can have access to email and complete the below training. To begin, Select "Launch Information Assurance Awareness course". Warning, this can take from 30-45+ minutes complete. It is best to complete this in one sitting so you do not have to repeat the sections. Once you have completed the training, you will be directed to fill out a certificate. It is important that you can print this certificate. Once printed, bring it to the front office and notify Principal Breece that you have completed the training so she can apply for an account from Information Technology.

The second screen shot shows you which items to select in the drop down menu boxes. Fill in each field that has an * next to it. For the three drop down menus select the following: Service = DoD Agency ; Region = Northern Command US ; Grade = N/A (located at bottom of list)

# 3 Annual Privacy Act Training

The next section is for the Annual Privacy Act training. This training cannot be completed until you have a user log in and password. This training should take 20-30 minutes to complete. The screen shot has an arrow next to the drop down menu box. Fill in each field that has an * next to it. Your User Name is what you use to log in to the computer (FirstName.LastName), Password is the password you use to log in to the computer. Domain needs to be changed to DDESS.

# 4 DoD 2009 Annual Ethics Training

DoD 2009 Annual Ethics Training (TBA)
This is a annual training that is required to be taken. This is the last training that you can complete this without an account active. This is an online activity that takes 30-45 minutes to complete. You have to answer questions correctly before you can go on. There are 8 questions to answer. Once you get through all 60 slides, you will be able to type you name in and print the certificate. Once you done, bring this certificate to the front office.
# 5 No Fear Act **

The last training for the No Fear Act. You do not need to have an account to complete this training. This training is mandatory for all employees, managers, and supervisors to include GS and educator positions. ** Newly-hired employees must be trained within 90 days of hire, then refresher training at least once every 2 years.

Do not print out the entire document. The certificate is located on page 36 of the document. When you print the file, chose page 36 only. If you are not sure of how to do this, come to the front desk as we will have extra certificates for you to fill out.

Once you have completed all trainings, let me know. Make sure you print every certificate and keep a copy for your records. If you have any questions, please let me know.
