"This
plan provides a road map for keeping DoDEA in the forefront in advancing the Department
of Defense’s agenda for education, and as
School Improvement and Accreditation are two of the primary vehicles by which Fort Bragg Schools as part of The Department of Defense (DoD) Domestic Dependent Elementary and Secondary Schools (DDESS) operated by the DoD Education Activity works to meet the goals of the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) Community Strategic Plan (CSP). All Fort Bragg schools are fully accredited by The North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI). Following
DoDEA and NCA guidelines, we
are beginning the first year of a five year school improvement plan
developed by the School Improvement
Team and the faculty and staff of Devers Elementary. Our goals are: |

| Goal # 1: All
students will increase word knowledge
Essence of the Goal: Word knowledge is a student’s ability to apply visual and auditory recognition, phonemic awareness and word meaning. Intervention; All students will be involved in systematic word study instruction.
Essence of the Goal: Students will gather, organize, analyze, evaluate and reflect upon information to solve problems in math. Intervention: Students will apply a process that monitors and guides strategies for solving problems.
