Gordon students have "visited" the Smithsonian American Art Museum in Washington over the last several weeks. They took a virtual field trip with our art teacher (who filmed her visit to SAAM). The field trip was followed by a video conference with a Smithsonian teacher who supports and works with DoDEA schools.

The video conference provided an introduction to SAAM and will be followed by additional conferences that focus on specific examples of art housed in the Smithsonian museum .In the picture above, 5th grade students play the "Curator Game" after their video conference.
