Student Code of Conduct

The teachers and administration at Holbrook believe that a quiet and orderly atmosphere is essential if learning is to occur. All students are expected to contribute to such an atmosphere by exhibiting appropriate behavior and by developing a sense of responsibility for their actions. Students causing disruptions at school will be subject to disciplinary action.

Student expectations that have been adopted by Holbrook School are as follows:

 

1.
All students are expected to come to school each day fully prepared for classroom instruction.
2.
All students must behave in a manner that shows respect and courtesy for all students, parents, and all school employees, as well as all school property.
3.
Students shall be dressed in proper attire that reflects acceptable grooming, personal cleanliness, and that provides for the child's health.
4.
Appropriate shoes must be worn at all times at school for safety, as well as for participating in activities.
5.
At no time are students allowed to chew gum in school.
6.
Students are not allowed to linger on school campus after dismissal.
7.
Students are to communicate with others in a responsible and non threatening manner, without abusive language or physical violence; and respect each others' property and personal space by not exhibiting any unacceptable physical contact.
8.
Students are not allowed to bring skateboards, scooters, or the like to school.
9.
Be on time. Each student must follow the directions from an adult in authority without any undue delay and in a cooperative manner.
10.
All students are expected to be aware of and conform to class, school and district behavioral expectations, regulations, and policies.
