Welcome to our home on the web! 

Our day starts promptly at 8:25.  Please do your best to have your child at school on time each day.  It will make the day run so much smoother for them, for the other students and for the teachers.  We go to Specials right away so coming in late causes your child to miss out on that opportunity.  Your child may enter the classroom as early as 8:10, and if necessary, may enter the building at 8:00.  If coming for breakfast, students may enter the school at 7:45.  Our day ends at 2:50 (or 1:30 on Wednesdays) when we escort the children to the door.  If your child comes to school after the 8:25 tardy bell has rang or needs to leave school earlier, please check them in or out through the office.  Check outs end at 2:00. Remember that every visitor in the building must check in at the office and receive a visitor's badge.  This is for everyone's security, thank you for your understanding.

All Shooting Stars children are invited to bring in a picture of a deployed parent to keep in their cubbies.  We do not dwell on deployment during the school day, but we do want to provide an opportunity for our children to "see" their loved one.   As always, we do our best to meet each child's varied needs, including the emotions of dealing with deployments. While all of our students do not currently have a deployed parent, many certainly remember what it was like or fear what it will be like. We do care & understand.  The Shooting Star teachers are both an "Army brat" & “Army wife” and have been in those shoes.  We do our very best to keep a cheerful, positive attitude & to keep school a safe & happy place for your children.
