DoDEA Mission:

School SMART Goals:

Reading: Goal 1  By June 2012, all students will increase reading comprehension skills. At Pope Elementary School reading comprehension will be evidenced by improved phonological awareness, phonics, decoding, fluency and vocabulary skills. Data will be gathered and monitored using system-wide and selected local assessments.

 

Math: Goal2  By June 2012, all students will increase math problem solving skills. At Pope Elementary School math problem solving will be evidenced through the four step UPSL (Understand, Plan, Solve, Look Back) process. Data will be gathered and monitored using system-wide and selected local assessments.

STEAM

STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) Week is May 7-11. This week students will participate in daily activities focused on STEAM.

Please help us gauge the levels of awareness, effectiveness and satisfaction with the DoDEA attendance policy introduced at the beginning of the school year by completing our online poll.  It is completely voluntary, anonymous and should only take 5 minutes to complete. Open to all DDESS stakeholders: students, parents, employees, military leaders, etc.
