Dear Parents and Students,

Hope you have a safe and wonderful summer.

PreKindergarten Physicals and kindergarten Physicals are required for school attendance. The Physical must have been completed within 12 months of the first day of school. The Physical must be turned in within 30 calendar days of starting school. Please call the school nurse with appointment date if after 30 days. The deadline for Kindergarten is Wednesday, September 24, 2008 and pre-kindergarten is Wednesday, October 1, 2008.

All students have 10 school days to meet immunization requirements for their age/grade level. You can take your child to the Pope Clinic for Immunizations even if you get care at another clinic. First through fourth grade immunization deadline is September 8, 2008. Kindergarten is September 9, 2008 and pre-kindergarten is September 15, 2008.

At the time of your child's physical when they receive required immunizations, please consider having them receive a 2nd Varicella Vaccination if they have not already had it. The CDC has recommended two doses of varicella and several states *(Georgia, Mississippi, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Alaska, Delaware, Ohio, and Texas) are already requiring two doses.
