| The READ 180 program at Pope Elementary provides additional assistance in daily 90-minute blocks to 3 rd and 4 th graders who have been experiencing difficulty in reading. If a student meets the criteria to receive READ 180 instruction, their parent must sign a permission slip for them to participate.
The goal of this supplemental reading assistance is to provide students with research-based interventions and strategies that specifically address their needs so that they can reach their independent reading goals.
The individual needs of the students are addressed through adaptive software, high interest literature, and direct instruction in reading skills.
