| Key Question:
What are the most important things we can develop in our students that
will help them in the kind of world in which they are likely to live? |
| Definition:
Environmental scan data is information about society and the world
that we may use to determine the skills, knowledge and abilities our students
will need in order to be successful in "their future". It helps us
understand the world in which our school may exist at various times in the
future. It helps us know what we may have to adapt to be successful in such a
new world. It pulls together key trends and predictions from good sources to
give us a sense of the range of possible futures our students may experience. |
| Goal: Our goal is to learn about Environmental
Scans. Remember that you will not be able to do part of this webquest from home because some of the
links are on a server rather than a website. If any links are not working,
please move on and try another one. Sometimes it is caused by internet slow
down, but we do not want to let it slow us down. |
| To access this webquest go to the Lucas site and click on Environmental Webquest 1. If you prefer to open this webquest as an Excel spreadsheet to enter your information, please click on this link environwebquest.xls and save to your h-drive. You can then enter info into the spreadsheet columns, save it, print it OR enter your information on the webquest sheet provided by your Profile Team Leader. |
