Reading

We are learning to identify naming words, action words and describing words. 

We are learning about the importance of word order in sentences and capitalizing special names.

Please review the page of vocabulary words sent home daily with your child.

Spelling

Our spelling words change weekly. Check your child's homework page for the current list of words.

Math

We will begin looking at geometry and spatial sense. (position words, open/closed shapes, slides, flips, turns)

Science/Social Studies/Health

We are learning about animals, authority, power, and governance.

Reading Counts

Our goal for the second quarter is 25 points while maintaining an average of 80% accuracy.
