Technology Program
The Fort Knox Community Schools are fully supported by significant hardware, software, and technology staff at both the district and the school levels.
Highlights of computer technology:
- Each school has a high performance Local Area Network that enables computer users to access programs and files on servers and to share devices, such as laser printers.
- Every school has a computer lab, and the larger schools have two computer labs.
- All schools have computers connected to the Internet in every lab, classroom and library information/media center.
- Fort Knox High School has a distance-learning program.
Highlights of audiovisual and television technology:
- Every school has a digital network that brings Kentucky Educational Television programs into the classroom.
- All schools have closed circuit and cable television programs.
- Every school has numerous televisions, VCRs, DVD players, and projectors.
