Plan Now for Life After High School

Students should begin now to plan for life after high school. All students are encouraged to visit the Go Higher KY website and set up an account to assist them in planning for the future. The site is a one-stop college planning site. From there, you can apply to the college of choice and then transfer this information to the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). 

Students who wish to participate in the Armed Services YMCA “My Military Hero” essay contest may use the attachments.  This essay contest is to recognize our Military families.  There is a monetary award for 1st and 2nd place winners.  The essay contest is open to all students in grades 9-12.  Please return completed essays with the attached entry form to Ms. Prather by February 10, 2010.  Students may also pick up the forms in the guidance office.

Testing Tips

Attention to all students taking the PSAT, PLAN, ACT, or SAT this year. The following article gives tips on attacking all 4 of these tests and information on how colleges view your scores. Tips for Testing
