In order to promote good communication between the home and the school, each child is required to have an official Walker Assignment Book. Each student will record his or her homework in the assignment book every day. Fourth and fifth grade teachers will verify the accuracy of the assignment by either stamping or initialing it. Parents of sixth grade students who need assistance in developing the study skill of accurately recording their daily homework assignments may request that their child's teacher verify the homework assignments. We ask that parents verify that the student has completed the assignment by signing at the end of each day's entry.
Walker provides the first assignment book; however, students who lose their assignment book will need to purchase a new one from the office for $4.00.
