Welcome to the Walker Intermediate School Home Page. Walker School is a 4th through 6th grade Intermediate School serving approximately 288students. We are a DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE Domestic Dependent Elementary and Secondary Schools (DDESS)school. DDESS is a division of the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA), serving the dependents of military men and women. We are located on Fort Knox, Kentucky.
February is Black History Month!

Walker is an "AdvancED Fully Accredited with Commendations" School. (AdvanED is the unfied NCA CASI, SACS CASI and CITA accreditation organization.)

TERRA NOVA TESTING MARCH 2,3,4

Walker Intermediate School will be conducting the annual TerraNova Standardized Testing on these dates. Please schedule student appointments around these dates.

Hours of Operation

Faculty hours: 0800 hrs to 1530 hrs, Monday through Friday when school is in session.

Student hours: 0830 hrs to 1515 hrs, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday; 0830 hrs to 1400 hrs, Wednesday.

Building hours: 0730 hrs to 1600hrs, Monday through Friday. The building opens for students at 0800 hours on school days.
