The board is elected by and represents the parents and legal guardians of students enrolled in the Fort Knox Community Schools.
The five board members are Fort Knox residents whose children attend post schools.
The board meets on the third Thursday of each month at 1:30 p.m., except that no meeting is scheduled in August, December, June, or July. Board business meetings are open to the community, and public participation is encouraged.
