This student is using the Team Board (similar to a Smart Board) during a lesson with his class. Second place went to Room 7 for their entry in the Red Ribbon Week Door Decoration Contest. From the Principal
PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE
TRANSPORTATION UPDATE Effective Monday morning, November 9th, our buses will arrive/depart in the back lot adjacent to the cafeteria. Students will enter/exit through the hallway doors. Please note that this area will be coned off and will be unavailable for parking in the future. The front parking area (by the flagpole) will be our new visitor parking area. This change will allow students to enter the building without being exposed to inclement weather and also allows our parents to use the front visitor parking lot again. This does not impact children who are picked up by their parents. They will continue to wait in the cafeteria. Because the back lot will have children loading or unloading buses, we need to reserve this area for buses and bus riding children only. Walkers and students transported by their parents should enter/exit through the front doors of the school. Thank you for your consideration. Kind regards, SCHOOL EVENTS
The Junior Red Cross Club meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:30 a.m. in Room 16 located in Cluster D across from the computer lab. It is not too late to join. Students may talk to their teachers or the Red Cross sponsor in Room 16 about joining. Their first project was making Veteran's Day cards. They will be collecting new toys ($10.00 and up) for Santa's Workshop. Please help to support this project by sending in new toys. The collection box is located in the school cafeteria below the PTO bulletin board. The club is also collecting soda pull tabs for the Jr. Red Cross. Thanks for supporting our Junior Red Cross club!
The second dose of H1N1 vaccines (individuals 9 and under require 2 doses) is scheduled for Kingsolver on Tuesday, December 8. Your initial permission form covers both doses, so you won’t need to send in any new permission slips. Only those students who received their first dose at school are eligible to get the second one at these in-school clinics.
