Severe Weather Procedures
for the Fort Knox Schools

The following are the procedures that Mudge School will follow in case of severe weather.

1. When an alert is sounded or the school receives a warning from an appropriate authority, an alarm will be sounded in the school and children will take a position of safety as practiced.

2. At this time, all children shall be required to stay at school.  Parents will not be allowed to pick up their children at school.

3. Parents are encouraged to remain in a safe location.  If parents do arrive at a school, parents will be invited to remain at school.

4. Children are required to remain at school until the school has been individually contacted that the all clear has been given.

5. If a parent does take a child from the school during this warning period, military police will be advised of the adult taking that child.
