Principal's Welcome
Welcome to Pierce Elementary School! We are home to the PROUD Pierce Pandas. I would like to introduce myself to all of you who are new to Fort Knox, as well those who are already a part of this school community. My name is Ms. Anne Campbell and I am your new principal. I am excited about being at Pierce and joining this caring faculty and staff. I have been with the Fort Knox Community Schools since 1979 and have worked in three of the elementary schools here. So as you can see, I have a long history here at Fort Knox. I look forward to meeting each of you during the course of the year.
These are the formative learning years for your child. Together we can make your child’s school experience exciting and positive. Please make Pierce your home and volunteer. When your child sees you helping at school, he/she will see it as an important place to be. Also, please contact your child’s teacher and set up a conference if you have concerns. You do not need to wait for a conference to be scheduled by the teacher.
The first few weeks of school the teachers and students will be getting to know one another. Give your child time to get oriented to the new year. Also, please read the attendance policy for there are specific requirements on the number of absences. It is most important that your child be in school to the maximum extent possible. Research has shown that there is a strong link between attendance in school and student achievement.
