Free/Reduced Lunch

If you know of military members who may be deployed or are in the process of deploying in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, and who may have children participating in the school National Lunch and Breakfast Program, they may now deduct a portion of money reported as income on their child's application. This money would be needed to support the deploying member while separated from the family. The deployed person will still be counted as a member of the household on the child's application. This may make a number of reduced and full price students eligible for a lower meal category. If you have questions concerning your child's category because of your spouse's deployment, please call the Food Service Director at 624-6311 (ext 17) or contact your school cafeteria manager at 624-6342.
