The National Junior Beta Club at Scott is a non-profit, leadership, service club that encourages effort, rewards merit, and promotes those qualities of character that make for good citizenship. Students in grades seven and eight who meet the general merit and scholastic standards qualifications in the club constitution are eligible. A Junior Beta chapter provides an opportunity for individual and cooperative effort by a school’s outstanding students…develops initiative and leadership…rewards merit and achievement…and is an asset to the school and community.

Students who join the Scott chapter may transfer their membership to Beta clubs in other schools if scholastic requirements of those schools are met. Likewise, students transferring to Scott may transfer membership from another chapter.

The Beta club meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month. There is an initial membership fee of $10. Each member receives a certificate of membership, a membership card, a Beta pin, and a subscription to the Junior Journal.
