WALKER INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL is a DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE Domestic Dependent Elementary and Secondary Schools (DDESS)school. DDESS is a division of the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA), serving the dependents of military men and women. We are located on Fort Knox, Kentucky.

Walker School is a 4th through 6th grade Intermediate School serving approximately 270 students.

WHAT ARE WE DOING?

  Walker Water Warriors aid the Red Cross cope with the effects of Hurricane Ike. Hurricane Ike knocked out electricity to over 300,000 homes in the local Kentucky Area for over 11 days. Hours of Operation

Faculty hours: 0800 hrs to 1530 hrs, Monday through Friday when school is in session.

Student hours: 0830 hrs to 1515 hrs, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday; 0830 hrs to 1400 hrs, Wednesday.

Building hours: 0730 hrs to 1600hrs, Monday through Friday. The building opens for students at 0800 hours on school days.
