Students interested in running for Student Leaders will be asked to complete an Application. Student application will be submitted to homeroom Teacher; then Teacher may recommend, not recommend, and allow class to nominate candidate from classroom.
Offices up for election:
6th grade: President (each classroom selects one candidate)
Vice-President selected from Runner-up total
5th grade: President (each classroom selects one candidate)
Vice-President selected from Runner-up total
4th grade: Sergeant-at-Arms (each classroom selects one candidate)
Assistant Sergeant-at-Arms selected from Runner-up total
**Candidate will be nominated by class vote with Teacher recommendation

Guidelines for selection for Student Council Office:
- Overall B average or above
- Exhibits Leadership Skills; Positive role model
- Attends regularly scheduled meetings
- Submits a student/parent agreement
- Campaign and deliver speech

September 26: Application due to homeroom Teacher
September 26: Teacher submit name of student running for office to sponsors by COB
October 23: Candidates give speeches to student body
October 24: Election Day
