Technology is an integral part of Bitz Intermediate's daily curriculum. Our school is equipped with 2 compute
r labs,
consisting of Pentium PC's and can be utilized by all grade
levels.Additionally, each classroom has a minimum of 6 networked student computers that are used on a daily basis to support the curriculum. Every room also has at least one printer. Networked LaserWriters and DeskJets are available in each wing and can be printed to from any networked machine in the school. Each classroom has internet access from most machines.
The Media Center contains many computers for student use as well. Students can do research through electronic encyclopedias and can use online catalogs to search for books and materials. Students use an automated check-out system for borrowing and returning library books.
The school also owns several digital cameras, video cameras, TV's, VCR's, laserdisc players, projectors and SmartBoards, many of which are used in conjunction with the computers to create multimedia projects.
