DoDEA Mission
Educate, Engage and Empower each student to succeed in a dynamic world

DoDEA Vision
To be among the world's leaders in education, enriching the lives of military-connected students and the communtities in which they live..

Our Goals

Goal 1: Reading Comprehension

By the end of the school year, all students will increase reading comprehension by using strategies to find important information that will allow them to understand the deeper meaning of the text across the curriculum. Progress will be measured by the selected system-wide and local assessments.

Goal 2: Problem Solving
By the end of the school year, all students will increase problem solving skills across the curriculum by using the UPSE (Understand, Plan, Solve, Explain) model. Students will understand the problem by identifying important information and key words, make a plan, solve the problem, and explain the reasonableness of the solution. Progress will be measured by the selected system-wide and local assessments.

BITZ Purpose and Direction
Bitz Intermediate School, in partnership with military families and the community, will educate, challenge and equip all students to be motivated, healthy, lifelong learners and productive citizens that are responsive to an innvoative, global environment.
